I am passionate about nature and adventure and as a federal wildlife biologist, I am fortunate to be able to spend a significant amount of time outdoors. When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, horseback riding, biking, nature photography (Wonders of Wildlife), traveling to new places, and breeding crested geckos (Colorado Cresties). I'm currently reviewing hiking and riding trails in Colorado and New Mexico.
Over the years I have discovered some excellent gear (also had some equipment disappointments). Through trial and error, I have developed comprehensive packing lists of gear that I really personally like, and trust to perform. Many of my adventures are done with my equine and canine companions, so I have included tips about traveling with them.
